Royal Mail delivery estimates are 1-2 business days for First Class mail and 1-3 days for Second Class mail. However, please allow up to 5 working days before contacting us. Orders are sent out within 24 hours of being placed.

Do not panic if your order doesn't arrive as quickly as you'd expect. We ship with Royal Mail, it's not often that they have delays but it does happen sometimes.

1st Class - 1 to 3 days typically.
2nd Class - 1 to 5 days typically.

If your order hasn't arrived after 5 business days please get in touch with us. We're likely to be aware of any delays already as we use software to track shipments after they have left us and we're alerted to delayed shipments.

We’re sure you’ve heard of many lotions and potions which claim to promote the growth of your beard, this type of product does not exist.

Balm House Beard Oils/Balms/Butters are unique blends of oils/butter that have natural qualities which cleanse the area and provide a healthier environment for optimal growth which will help keep your hair healthy.

Yes, it is 100% normal. 

We use all natural ingredients in our beard balms and no artificial binding agents, this causes the balm to be susceptible to temperature change. 

If the balm has been warmed up during shipping, or kept in a pocket or next to a radiator, the balm will then cool down and the fatty acids in the natural butters can separate and form tiny grains. 

This is normal, and although isn't ideal from a texture point of view, the product is perfectly fine and will perform in exactly the same way. Simply melt it in your hands before applying. 

We flash cool our beard balms straight from the heat which helps prevent the grainy texture, however, once the product leaves our care, we cannot control the temperature during shipping or how the customer stores it. 

If you'd like to prevent graininess in your beard balm, keep it cool, out of direct sunlight and away from any heat sources such as radiators.

We have two different beard brushes.

Our large beard brush is made from Olive Wood and Boar Hair.
Our smaller beard brush is made from Pear Wood and Board Hair.

Our beard brushes are not vegan.

Unfortunately not.

Please beware of companies that offer this a service, custom scents and "pick your own scent" combinations are almost entirely impossible to do legally.

Each product supplied to a customer must by law have a CPSR and a CPNP entry in place.

Offering custom scents or "pick your own scent" services means a new CPSR and CPNP entry must be created for every single scent/combination, this is impossible.

We're more than happy to listen to suggestions for new scents but we cannot make them to order.

*Nut allergy sufferers please note: We use Argan Oil in some of our products, please read the label carefully.

Due to the ingredients used in the production process we cannot guarantee that our products don’t contain traces of nuts. We hope that you follow our advice by avoiding these products if you have a nut allergy.

• This product is intended solely for facial hair including beard and moustache.
• Not intended for internal use.
• Although this product contains natural ingredients it is not safe for consumption.
• Please avoid contact with eyes.
• If you get a product in your eyes, flush with cold water.
• If this is the first time using this product we recommend you do a test to ensure that you are not allergic.
• Apply a small amount to one area of the freshly washed beard/moustache. Leave for 24 hours if there are no signs of irritation continue to use the product as directed on the bottle.
• If irritation occurs, stop using the product. If irritation persists please seek advice from your GP or health care professional immediately.

Yes, all of our products are required by law to adhere to Cosmetic Products Safety Regulations. We have CPSR certification for all of our products, which are held in PIFs (Product Information Files) at our head office. 

Our products have also been notified to the European authorities via the CPNP (Cosmetic Product Notification Portal).
