What we use in our Beard Oil and why we use it

There are so many ways to make beard oil. So what do we use and why do we use it?

It's important that you get beard oil right, that's why we've spent a lot of time developing our base recipe. There are some companies out there using synthetic ingredients in their beard oil, this is not good practise.

Synthetic ingredients, while some are not directly damaging, can have a negative effect on your facial hair. These ingredients are not absorbed by the skin/hair and instead sit on it, this can cause hair to feel greasy and require a heavy wash to clear them away. This is bad for your skin/hair as you're not really nourishing it, it's more of a put on/wash off cycle with no benefits which will leave your facial hair dry and undernourished.

We use-all natural ingredients, carefully picked to rejuvenate your skin and hair. Washing with soap and hot water removes oils from the skin and hair, it is important that you replenish these oils after washing. Balm House's combination of ingredients are exactly what your body needs to absorb and replenish these lost oils.

Over the course of the next few weeks, we will be publishing blog posts dedicated to each individual ingredient we use at Balm House. We will explain why we use it and what the benefits are.

Keep your eyes peeled for more posts.
